LabVIEW Workshops and Seminar

On September 24 and 25, 2002 National Instruments conducted hands-on workshops and
information/discussion seminars at USM. Attendees included faculty, students, and industrial
representatives. Activities included:

  • Creation of a complete LabVIEW application from start to finish.
  • Development of flexible data acquisition solutions, including motion control and machine vision.
  • Other topics, e.g.  network and Web extensions, ActiveX, XML, and multithreading.
The LabVIEW software will be featured in the new control lab. The line forms here.

CET/EET Students Pitch Their Senior Projects

Part of the senior project process is a pitch to the faculty in which the student presents a convincing
argument for technical feasibility and desirability. The session often results in creative ideas and
suggestions in addition to approval or redirection. Both faculty and student benefit.
